On Viale Belfiore, few steps from the new high speed train station and the historic Fortezza da Basso, the construction of a new urban complex is about to be realized. The project, of approximately 88.000 m² GFA will be the headstone of the contemporary development in the heart of the old city of Florence.
On an area of 15.200m² are planned new 4-star hotel with 250 rooms, shopping arcade, health facilities and offices, as well as 120 apartments. All are fitted with fine sandstone cladding and glass facades. The project will also include a new large public piazza on Via Marcello Benedetto and inner green areas with high-end landscape design.
An underground parking garage, with four levels and around 1000 car places is planned for the use of the residents, visitors and public.
The excavation for the construction is already completed and the project is expected to be inaugurated by the end of 2015, together with the 150 years jubilee for the declaration of Florence as the first capital of unified Italy.
